History & Culture

Landcrafters, LLC has been serving coastal Maine with some of the highest quality landscape creations since 1983. Our customer service, professionalism, and craftsmanship are precisely why we are recommended to new clients and architects, and continue to work with existing clients.

David Jewell’s emphasis on quality work, produced by quality people with a sustainable approach has been his recipe for success. David started Landcrafters, LLC with Mike Lynch in 1984, shortly thereafter, he took over all operations and ownership. Having grown his company through some of the harshest economic downturns, David has established a broad range of services performed at an expert level.

Keeping true to his sustainable philosophy, David Jewell has placed an emphasis on employee growth and retention. Many of our senior employees gained their industry experience at Landcrafters, LLC. This is a testament to the culture and atmosphere within the company, as well as our dedication to employee advancement.

Drawn to the many challenges of the industry, David has flourished by adapting to sites and available resources.  His humble nature has allowed him to compile a wealth of knowledge from the ever-growing number of unique projects he has completed over the past several decades.

David enjoys being outdoors, hiking, camping, and seeking out the best fly fishing spots Maine. When David is away from Landcrafters, he can be found tending to his growing herd of livestock at Partridge Hill Farm, haying the fields, retrieving his retriever, and producing some of Maine’s best maple syrup from his sugar shack in Woolwich.
